• SNAIL MAIL SOCIAL:

    A Creative Mail Workshop - 5:30pm to 8pm

  • A hands-on workshop where you design a postcard or write a letter, decorate it your way, then mail it — to yourself, or to someone far away you're thinking of. All materials included, plus a copy of a Peachy Parcels mail-out to keep!

What's Included

  • All materials for your chosen creation — postcard or letter, color in or collaged, your call
  • Stickers, stamps, patterned paper, scissors, tape, markers, and pencils to make it yours
  • An envelope and stamp — I'll personally mail your letters for you :)
  • A copy of a Peachy Parcels mail-out — because it's someone else's turn to make something for you
  • An acrylic bookmark, yours to customize with a sticker and a ribbon of your choice

You'll spend time making something for someone else — and walk out having received something too. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any art experience?

Not at all. The color-in postcard option means you can join with zero drawing skills and still send something beautiful. Plus you get a mail from me to you (Postcard, sticker, punchcard + playlist).

What if I don't know who to send it to?

Mail it to yourself! There's something really lovely about a surprise from your past self showing up in a week. Or bring an address for a friend you've been meaning to reach out to.

What should I bring?

Just yourself (and an address, if you're mailing to someone specific). Everything else is provided.

Is this a one-time workshop or will you do more?

This is the first one! If it goes well, I'd love to make it a regular thing —follow @artfully.vanessa to hear about future dates + @peachyparcelsco

Why I'm Doing This

My daughter recently watched me drop off mail for my own mail club and asked what I was doing. Explaining it to her — draw something, mail it, someone hand-delivers it to your friend's door — the magical look in her eyes reminded me of how meaningful and amazing this act actually is.

This workshop is me handing that same feeling to you: an afternoon to make something real, mail it to someone who'll be glad you did, and remember what it felt like before mail meant bills and ads.
